By booking with ‘Short Bark N Sides’ you are agreeing with the following:

Each and every dog is guaranteed my undivided attention at all times. Our emphasis is on their well being, safety and comfort. 

Every appointment provides you with an opportunity to discuss your dog's grooming requirements and needs with Kate. Regardless of which service is provided, your dog will enjoy a comfortable and pampered experience with individual attention during their groom.

Please advise us of any medical or skin conditions, allergies, lumps, bumps etc that your dog may have. 

Our fully equipped trailer includes heating and air conditioning as well as a heated Hydrobath. We maintain a clean, healthy and safe environment for your dog. We ensure tables, equipment, and towels are cleaned and disinfected regularly.

Access to power and running water is required as well as parking for a vehicle and trailer, a flatter surface is more beneficial for the bath and groom. 

In the event that a dog’s coat is matted, Kate may need to shave the matts out rather than perform a painful dematting procedure. If the dog is severely matted, there is an increased risk for clipper burn, rashes or cuts to occur. All attempts will be made to prevent this, however, with many extreme matted cases it is unavoidable. This process will take additional time to groom, so unfortunately there will be an added fee to the regular grooming price for matted coats. Please advise us if extra time will be needed when booking the groom. If matting is not disclosed, the groom may not be able to be completed in the time allocated. 

If a dog attempts to bite, a muzzle will be used for the safety of both the groomer and the dog, an extra charge may be incurred with aggressive behaviour. In the event the dog shows aggressive behaviour leading to an unfinished groom, the responsibility for all applicable charges will apply, whether or not the groom has been completed. 

If ‘Short Bark N Sides’ are unable to begin a groom for any reason, the dog will be returned to the owner with no charge. 

Prices listed are a starting point based on a regular 6-8 week grooming schedule, and are subject to change. Final prices will be determined based on: breed, size, temperament and condition of coat (eg. matting, aggression). Matting Fees are calculated by severity, time and equipment required, matting fees start at $20.00.

All quoted grooming prices are estimates and may be increased/decreased based on your dog's coat or skin condition, special handling needs, behaviour and by all other additional services requested or deemed necessary. Please enquire about breed specific clips or dogs larger than 35kgs. 

Photos of our customers' dogs regularly appear on ‘Short Bark N Side’s’ website or on social media, if you do not wish this to happen, please let Kate know. 

Any section of this website that collects personal information is encrypted to protect it and is only accessed by ‘Short Bark N Sides’.
